FAQ
If you can't find an answer to your question in our FAQ please do get on touch via our CONTACT form.
What does my ticket include?
Festival Pass and Festival Pass - Early Bird Rate and all tickets booked as a part of a package with IcelandAir cover all events over all four days, and any additional fringe events, at all of our venues. Events run throughout the day and into the evenings.
Tickets for individual days/events are not available.
It also gives you exclusive access to the private members club Kjarval throughout the festival.
DISCLAIMER: Please note that entry to events at our daytime venues and fringe event venues have limited capacity due to the venue size. For these events, a ticket does not guarantee entry. We strongly recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment. Our headline event venue is much bigger and your ticket WILL guarantee you entry.
Does this mean I won't get into events I want to go to?
Many city festivals work in this way, as was the case for Iceland Noir 2023 and 2024 and no one was disappointed! Most ticket holders dip in and out of the program and choose to explore the city, and even take day trips, during their stay. We strongly advise this! It's a long day of events and as the festival is in the heart of the city, there is so much to see and do.
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets are 19.900 Icelandic Krona. Please note that a limited quantity of Early Bird tickets have now sold out.
Where can I buy tickets from?
Tickets for Iceland Noir 2025 are available now through Tix.
Travel packages with IcelandAir can be booked here.
I’m having an issue with the ticketing site - what should I do?
The quickest and easy way to get this resolved is to contact Tix directly. Their Icelandic and English-language customer support phone line is available on weekdays between 12:00 and 16:00 - Call +354 551 3800.
Please do feel free to get in touch with us using our CONTACT form if you are still having issues, and we will be very happy to help!
I can't attend anymore. Can I get a refund?
As is standard with event tickets, we don't offer refunds.
When will the event program be released?
The event program will be released approximately one month before the festival. We will announce authors over the coming months. Make sure you are following us on social media and subscribed to our newsletter for the latest announcements.
How do I get to the festival?
Iceland Noir is a city festival held at two main venues - Fríkirkjan, and Kjarval - which are a six minute walk apart. Reykjavík–Keflavík Airport (KEF) is the nearest international airport and the main airport in Iceland. It is a 40 minute drive from Reykjavík city center. Airport shuttle buses depart from the airport to the city bus depot (BSI) roughly every 30 minutes, and will take you on to most hotels and guesthouses in the city.
If you have an accessibility queries or issues get in touch with us via our contact page.
Do you have any packages, hotel deals or recommended places to stay?
Ticket holders will receive hotel discounts directly.
I’m from the press - can I get a free ticket?
We are a small, volunteer run festival. We are only able to exist through money we make from ticket sales and some small sponsorship subsidies, with every krona that comes in going back into the festival. We do everything we can to keep our ticket price as low as possible and as such we don’t routinely offer free passes. If you are from a brand or media outlet, and would like to work with us or cover the festival, then please do get in touch with us at [email protected].
Are all of the events in English?
Yes!
I'm an author. Can I join the line-up?
We are now fully booked, but please sign up for our newsletter and/or follow us on social media for an announcement when submissions for 2026 open!
