A NOTE FROM THE ORGANISERS
Iceland Noir 2023 is still on. The eruption that might occur will not shut down events in the city as Reykjavik is about 60 km away from the active site. The State of Emergency being reported in the press related to this area only, not the Reykjavik capital region. Flights are still on schedule but it is recommended that you keep an eye on the Icelandair site here or check with your airline - just in case!
We are thrilled to announce a very special event with Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton and Louise Penny at Harpa on Sunday the 19th of November 2023. More info and a link to buy tickets can be found HERE.
Welcome to ICELAND NOIR -
A literary festival celebrating darkness in all its forms
Iceland Noir is held in Reykjavík at the darkest time of year. Founded by internationally bestselling authors Ragnar Jónasson and Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, the festival started as a celebration of crime fiction in 2013. Although the name has stayed the same, the festival has evolved and grown and we now welcome writers from many genres, and our programme includes events on film and television.
What brings everything together is the theme of darkness. . . Iceland Noir 2023 will take place in Reykjavík from Wednesday 15th - Saturday 18th of November 2023 at venues in the centre of the city. Tickets for 2023 are now sold out. Join our mailing list to be the first to hear about our 2024 festival. |
